Areas of Expertise

Kristin Fee joined Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A. as a manager in 2009 when Woolston, Koerner & Co., LLC merged with the firm. She has more than fifteen years of experience in public accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA) financial statement and tax preparation for individuals and corporations. Ms. Fee provides audit and review services for numerous for-profit businesses. She is also responsible for the audits of defined benefit plans, employee savings plans, and not-for-profit organizations.

Ms. Fee's background includes the assignment of client responsibilities among team members, reviewing staff projects, evaluating new hire candidates, as well as training and mentoring new team members. Her extensive experience has been invaluable in the performance of the audit function and instruction of staff. Ms. Fee oversees the multitude of compilation reports prepared each month and is accountable for the final review and approval of financial statement reports.
