R. Joseph Gunteski joined Donald Cowan in November 1982 to form a high quality CPA firm, and has close to 30 years of public accounting experience. Mr. Gunteski is regularly appointed by Ocean and Monmouth County Superior Court Judges and/or retained by attorneys as an accounting expert in matrimonial litigation matters. He analyzes the financial statements, income tax returns and other documents presented by the litigants and their attorneys, to formulate opinions on reported and unreported income, business valuations, cash flow analysis, lifestyle analysis, and net assets available for equitable distribution for matrimonial matters as well as assisting in settlement negotiations, providing expert witness testimony, and acting as the mediator and/or arbitrator to resolve disputes. In addition, Mr. Gunteski has been retained as an accounting expert in commercial litigation matters, including, but not limited to matters involving fraud investigations, shareholder disputes, estate litigation and business acquisitions.

• The Joint Credentials Committee of the Supreme Court Committee on Dispute Resolution
• The Supreme Court Family Practice Committee of the State of New Jersey has admitted Mr. Gunteski to the roster of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
