Donald A. Cowan founded the Firm of Cowan, Gunteski & Co. , P.A. in October 1982 and has in excess of 25 years of public accounting experience in both New Jersey and the Washington D.C. areas. Mr. Cowan typically gets involved in helping clients operate their business more productively and profitably through proper management and evaluation of their business systems. He has developed special expertise in the management consulting area and has particular experience dealing with family-owned businesses, succession planning, and merger and acquisition issues for a wide range of businesses including publicly traded companies.

Mr. Cowan is the leading partner in charge of the Firm's Professional Division. Over the last several years, he has concentrated his efforts in representing clients in the healthcare, legal and other professional service industries. He is qualified to perform revenue enhancement and cost reduction engagements, as well as represent his clients in various contract negotiations, such as compensation agreements and shareholder buy-in/buy-out agreements. Mr. Cowan's philosophy is to look at the professionals and their businesses as one in order to help his clients establish and accomplish their goals.
